About Megan
We all know that diets don’t work, so what does? My health journey truly began when I went to the University of Central Florida. I was tired of feeling sluggish, fatigued, bloated, and in a mental fog all the time. I tried multiple things to try and alleviate my symptoms, but the only thing that worked was reframing my lifestyle and creating healthy habits that I enjoyed and that I was excited to do everyday.
I believe in a holistic approach to health and will never recommend anything to anyone that I would not partake in myself. I believe that prioritizing whole foods while also leaving room for the foods you love is half the work. The other half comes from participating in consistent exercise that you ENJOY. If you don’t enjoy it, you won’t want to do it. Another important factor in creating a healthy lifestyle is having a healthy mindset. If you believe you can do it, YOU WILL DO IT.
Looking at the body as a whole and not just managing individual symptoms is key to the health and healing journey - hence the name, Wholeistic Nutrition.
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist based in Florida. I am also currently pursuing my personal trainer certification because I believe that this will better help me assist people in achieving their fitness goals. I have a passion for cooking healthy meals, moving my body in a way that is honoring to me, and choosing health everyday. I grew up surrounded by health conscious parents who inspired me and paved the way for me to become a health conscious adult.
I was inspired to become an RDN during the COVID-19 pandemic, as it really opened my eyes to how important health is. I believe that what you put in your body is what you will get out of your body.
Some of my hobbies include yoga, hiking, traveling, gardening, reading, and playing with my 3 cats.
